Mini Facelifts

As we age the skin on our face and neck begins to sag, and the muscles begin to lose their tone. We may develop jowls and deep creases that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth. If this sounds like you, says Dr. Cece, “you may look older than you are and more tired than you feel.” Many patients find Dr. Cece’s mini facelifts to be a pleasing solution. In this procedure the muscles on your neck are tightened, the skin on your face is reshaped and lifted, and excess skin, if any, is removed.

“People keep telling me how rested I look,” smiles one patient, “as if I’d just gotten a great night’s sleep. Needless to say I never correct them.”

Nose Reshaping & Sculpting (Rhinoplasty)

Your nose is the central feature of your face, and even a small change in its shape or size can dramatically improve your appearance and boost your self-confidence. Dr. Cece is a recognized leader in the field of rhinoplasty (literally “molding the nose”) and has pioneered and refined many of the most innovative nose shaping and sculpting techniques available today. Whether you’re unhappy with the nose you’ve had since birth, or the shape of your nose has changed to due to aging or injury, he can show you what rhinoplasty can do for you. For a better harmonization of features, he’ll sometimes recommend other procedures, especially chin augmentation, in conjunction with rhinoplasty.

“I love my new nose,” says one patient, “because it makes me smile so much.”

Ear Sculpting

If you’re self-conscious about the shape or size your ears, cosmetic surgery can provide some help. Surgery of the ears is called otoplasty and is most often performed on children once their ears are fully-formed, usually about the time they start first grade. The psychological benefits can be considerable – just ask anyone who’s ever been called Dumbo. In this procedure, the ears are basically remolded surgically. The procedure can also be performed on adults and if often performed with other surgery, especially rhinoplasty, to create the optimal spatial effect.

Endoscopic Brow Lifts

As we get older, exposure to the sun combines with the unavoidable forces of gravity to take a toll on our faces. For some people that means the eyebrows begin to sag and deep vertical lines appear between them, giving the impression, in come cases, that you’re perpetually sad or angry. For patients who have this problem and want to correct it, Dr. Cece can perform an endoscopic brow lift. To get an idea of what, if anything, a state-of-the-art endoscopic brow lift can do for you, put your index finger in the center of each eyebrow and very gently pull the skin upwards.

Cheek Sculpting

Full, rounded cheekbones accent your eyes and frame your face as nothing else can. Like chin implants, cheek implants are made of sterile synthetics that can be artistically shaped to take maximum advantage of our other features. This procedure is often combined with rhinoplasty or blepharoplasty to create the most harmonious facial balance.

Lip Augmentation

For women who want fuller, more shapely lips, Dr. Cece performs a procedure known as fat grafting.  In most cases, fat is “harvested” from your abdomen and injected in the right places around the lips and mouth. The procedure can be repeated to for additional volume.

Facial Liposuction

Unlike those around our stomachs, the fatty deposits that collect in our chin, necks, jaws and cheeks are immune to the blandishments of the Stairmaster. Artistic facial liposuction can be dramatically reshape your face and do wonders for your self-esteem.

Chin Augmentation

When you come right down to it, a pleasing face is all about the right proportions. A “weak” chin, for instance, can make your nose look larger. In fact, in some cases, says Dr. Cece, “changing the shape of your chin can improve your profile as much as rhinoplasty.” Not surprisingly, the two are often performed together. In a chin augmentation procedure, Dr. Cece will insert a custom-fitted implant made of a synthetic material much like the chin’s natural tissue. The results can be dramatic.
